Hello Tumblr!
So, um, I guess this is hello and as such allow me to introduce myself.
Jilly St John, pleased to make your acquaintance :)
I suppose some of you might like to know a lil bit about me? And if you don’t read no further! lol
I’m 28 and live in Derry NI. I’m a singer, dancer, actor, promoter and journalist! Phew, jack of all trades master of none some would say! How does that justify me primarily writing a music blog? Well, I used to be in a band called No Mean City and saw ALOT of unrecognised talent whilst on the road both here in Ireland and in the UK. I also came across alot of flaws within the industry, mainly the whole “it’s not how good you are, it’s who you know” scenario. I hope to create a platform for those acts on here in the form of reviews, gig listings etc; and get the music to where it matters, the general public that is YOU!!! These bands may get a whole blog dedicated to them or they might be included on here as a soundtrack/link to my blog/day. I’m into all sorts of genres and so I hope there’ll be something for everyone at some point but you can be guaranteed that if it’s on here, it’s gonna be EPIC in some shape or form!
Me bein’ me, I pretty much have an opinion on everything so I also hope to include some controversial bloggings ;) scandal! I like to be abit of a girl about town so if there’s somethin’ excitin’ happenin’ in my life or in general you’ll be sure to get the inside scoop right here!
No one said ALL the blogs would be interestin’ but I’ll try to keep it all fresh n funky!
